Costantino Giovine on Display at Montina Franciacorta
Painting, Soul, and Meditation
Montina Franciacorta opens the doors of its art gallery to a new and fascinating exhibition: from October 29, 2025 to January 2026, visitors will have the chance to admire the works of Costantino Giovine, a visionary artist who blends painting, introspection, and symbolism to create pieces that transport viewers into a unique emotional journey.
The Artist and His Journey
Costantino Giovine arrived in Milan in 1983 from Velletri, dedicating himself to the study of color and symbolic language. He later moved to Viadanica, where he opened his studio and deepened his connection between art and nature.
His works emerge from inner worlds—dreams, sensations, and emotions—transforming them into vibrant, one-of-a-kind paintings made with acrylics, dots, and lines.
The artist explains:
“My painting is defined by depicting what I feel and what I dream. What is real is not what you see when you look at the painting, but what you experience by letting yourself be carried away by it.”
Three Sections, Three Experiences
The exhibition is divided into three main thematic sections:
- Painter of the Soul
In this section, Giovine creates non-figurative portraits of visitors’ inner selves. Through personal information and photographs, the artist crafts works that capture spiritual and emotional essence, offering a unique, personalized experience.
- Transcendental Meditation
These paintings reflect the artist’s spiritual search and connection with the universe. Shapes and colors become tools of introspection, opening doors to parallel worlds and indescribable sensations that guide viewers on an inner journey.
- My Pictorial Life
This section traces Giovine’s creative path, where dream and reality intertwine. The works arise from emotional freedom, evolve over time, and convey deep sensations—engaging viewers in an authentic emotional experience.
“Articolazioni”: Costantino Giovine’s Art Book
Alongside painting, Giovine also expresses himself through writing with his book Articolazioni – Romanzo Noir, where the protagonist, suspended between spirit and rationality, longs simply to be an artist.
The opening lines read:
“Dear reader, you are about to enter an original, ironic, and at times irreverent narrative that will take you into a surreal and anarchic dimension, between fantasy and reality, making you lose your bearings and the balance you perhaps rely on in life. Sometimes, losing a bit of acquired balance is necessary to renew oneself and continue living with the freshness of childhood.”
In Articolazioni, action and introspection converge in a labyrinthine, multicolored world—the same universe Giovine portrays in his paintings, where suffering and creative tension coexist as essential elements in the birth of any artistic work.
