A Look to the Future for Montina
New Corporate Structure and Investments for Sustainability
For Montina, 2025 marks a turning point—a meeting place between our roots and the future.
We have chosen to strengthen our connection with the land and the agricultural supply chain, opening a new chapter in our story guided by vision, investment, and sustainability. Our goal is clear: to produce Franciacorta that remain deeply rooted in family tradition while boldly embracing innovation, production autonomy, and an ever-more conscious approach to resource management.
A New Structure to Stay True to Our Values
Since January 2025, we have welcomed Raoul Bontempi,
CEO of Bontempi Vibo S.p.A., a historic Brescia-based company known for Made-in-Italy excellence in fasteners, into Montina. Through the family holding Finan Service S.p.A., Raoul has chosen to invest in our project, fully sharing our values and vision for growth. Raoul’s connection to Montina was first and foremost a human one: experiences at Villa Baiana and direct interaction with our family, especially Gian Carlo Bozza, conveyed the passion and authenticity that animate every bottle we produce.
A great admirer of Chardonnay—particularly in Blanc de Blancs versions—Bontempi shares our ambitious objectives: continuing growth, investing in sustainability, and expanding our activities, all while staying true to the family spirit that has always defined Montina.
New Vineyards, Production Autonomy, and Sustainability
Aligned with our renewed agricultural identity, we have launched a long-term viticultural and environmental development plan. In 2025, we planted 10 hectares of new vineyards in Gussago, acquired 3.2 hectares in Franciacorta, and 6 hectares of land slated for new plantings between 2026 and 2027. These investments will enhance our production autonomy and allow even greater control over grape quality—a key factor in crafting exceptional Franciacorta.
Our agricultural growth goes hand in hand with concrete sustainability initiatives: by the end of 2025, we will install photovoltaic panels covering up to 82% of our energy needs, significantly reducing our environmental impact and making our production increasingly respectful of the territory.
Our team is also expanding: between 2024 and 2025, six new professionals joined the administrative, hospitality, and cellar departments. Federica Bozza is now involved in administrative management, while Romana Bozza oversees hospitality, reinforcing the central role of the family in the day-to-day life of the company.
Looking Ahead with Enthusiasm
We approach the future with energy, rooted in our heritage yet focused forward. This new phase is not a change of identity but a coherent evolution of our path: we remain the same—grounded, authentic, quality-focused—but with new energy and skills to face the challenges ahead.
