Initiatives for the Franciacorta Festival 2024
September 14 and 15, 2024: Guided tours, tasting area, and picnic in the vineyard
We are excited to announce the program for our initiatives for the Franciacorta Festival 2024, which will be held next September. The events, spread over two days, offer a unique mix of guided tours, wine tastings, and food and wine experiences, designed to satisfy both wine enthusiasts and neophytes alike.
Saturday, September 14
The day begins with a guided tour of the Montina winery, entirely dug under the hill, followed by a detailed explanation of the Franciacorta Method. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the external courtyard of Villa Baiana, visit the halls, and the Contemporary Art Gallery, which hosts works including paintings by Remo Bianco, an artist from Milan. The gallery will also feature the exhibition “Marzia Boaglio: story art design.”

10:00 AM Guided tour, followed by
Masterclass Satèn Franciacorta Festival 2024 (€60 per person)
A masterclass dedicated to Satèn, the most representative wine of Franciacorta, will offer an immersive experience guided by agronomist Dr. Alceo Totò. The tasting will include Satèn Vintage 2008, Satèn Vintage 2016, and Satèn disgorged in 2024, with a sensory deep dive into each wine. The Franciacorta Vintage wines tasted come directly from the Bozza family’s Reserve, hence they are not available on the market. Only 20 spots are available for this exclusive experience.
10:30 AM Guided tour of the winery, followed by
Franciacorta Festival Tasting (€25 per person)
During the tasting, participants will be able to savor two of the winery’s finest: Franciacorta Satèn and Franciacorta Rosé Extra Brut, accompanied by taralli and Grana Padano.
After the tour, a degustation area will be available where you can taste all the Montina-produced Franciacorta wines by the glass.
FROM 9 AM TO 1 PM
Free tasting area
Dedicated to guests who visit the winery just to taste the products without taking the winery tour. A free-entry space, no reservation required, where you can try all Montina Franciacorta wines, available both by the bottle and by the glass.
Sunday, September 15
Montina at Sunset: Picnic in the Vineyard (€65 per person)
On Sunday, the festival will culminate with a charming sunset picnic among the Montina vineyards.
The event starts at 5:00 PM with a guided tour of the winery, followed by a picnic in the suggestive Baiana vineyard.
Picnic Menu
Each participant will receive a wooden box containing a selection of delicacies prepared by Villa Baiana, including:
- Small boat with a selection of cured meats and olive oil focaccia
- Small boat with a selection of local cheeses and marmalades
- Gourmet pizzetta with stracciatella and anchovy
- Franciacorta poké with cereal rice, shredded dried beef, and vegetable ratatouille
- Handmade dessert
Wine Each couple or trio of participants will receive a bottle of Franciacorta Brut and two tasting glasses. For single reservations, the wine will be served by the glass.
Kids Menu
For the little ones, the menu includes pasta with tomato sauce, a sandwich with cutlet and fries, a handmade dessert, and a drink (€30).
Setup
The spots between the vineyard and the olive grove will be set up with convivial-style tablecloths and pillows, compostable cutlery, napkins, and a bottle of water per person.
Vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose-free options are available upon request.
In case of bad weather, the event will be held in the halls of the Contemporary Art Gallery.
