A result that fills us with pride and that confirms, once again, the excellence of our Satèn and its ability to convey, in every glass, the identity of Franciacorta and our territory.
Each year, only about 2–3% of the wines tasted by the “Vini d’Italia” guide receive this highest score, a symbol of absolute excellence for quality, stylistic consistency, and the ability to inspire emotions in the glass.
What is Franciacorta Satèn
Satèn is one of the most elegant and distinctive styles of the Franciacorta DOCG denomination. The term literally means “silk” and refers to its soft, creamy, and enveloping texture, a stylistic signature that makes it unique among traditional method sparkling wines.
What makes Satèn so special is the slightly lower bottle pressure (maximum 5 atmospheres), which gives it a fine, velvety foam and a delicate, persistent perlage.
Furthermore, Satèn can only be produced with white grapes—mainly Chardonnay, with the possible inclusion of Pinot Bianco and Erbamat—and only in the Brut version, to highlight elegance and finesse without excess sugar.
Montina Satèn is made exclusively from Chardonnay, to emphasize elegance, freshness, and harmony, in the typical Brut style. It is a soft wine on the palate, refined, perfect to accompany elegant aperitifs, fish dishes, or fresh cheeses, but also ideal with creamy risottos.
