The Pleasure of Painting: Andrea Roma at Montina Franciacorta

Andrea Roma at Montina Franciacorta

The Pleasure of Painting

From March 28 to May 26, 2025, Montina Franciacorta will host an exhibition by artist Andrea Roma — a showcase that celebrates the passion for painting as a form of expression and reinterpretation of reality.

Painting is an act that blends rationality and emotion, a way for the artist to interpret the world around him and give shape to his personal vision. With his talent and sensitivity, Andrea Roma turns the canvas into a stage of light and color, alternating between portraits and landscapes, bucolic scenes and seascapes, still lifes and reinterpretations of great masters from the past.

The Art of Andrea Roma

Born in Ostuni in 1949 and now based in Lungavilla (PV), Andrea Roma is an artist deeply rooted in the classical painting tradition. His works draw inspiration from the masterpieces of Monet, Fattori, Picasso, and Renoir. A mix of reproductions and original creations, his paintings reflect a continuous search for beauty and emotion, brought to life through compositions rich in light and movement.

One of the most distinctive aspects of his art is the use of color to convey intensity: from vibrant landscapes to delicate human figures, each piece invites the viewer to see with fresh eyes and immerse themselves in the visual narrative. Among the most striking subjects are his vivid interpretations of Portofino, his delicate depictions of rice field workers in Polesine, and the painting Visione d’Arte, which intertwines landscapes, seascapes, and evocative figures.
