2026: Montina—Rooted in Franciacorta, Reaching for the World
The start of 2026 has brought a surge of new energy to our winery. Following a year of consolidation in 2025, the first few months of this year mark a significant milestone in Montina’s journey: first-quarter data shows an encouraging 16.8% increase in growth. It is a result that validates our commitment to quality, strategic diversification, and our deep-rooted connection to the land.
2025 in Review: Resilience and Evolving Tastes
We closed 2025 with steady results, confirming the strength of our business model amidst a rapidly shifting global market. We have observed a fascinating evolution in consumer habits; while the corporate channel showed a degree of caution, we saw a spike in enthusiasm for our flagship Franciacorta Satèn and low-dosage expressions like our Extra Brut and Dosage Zéro.
“We aren’t just seeing a phase; we are witnessing a landmark shift in consumer behavior,” explains our CEO, Michele Bozza. “This is why we have chosen to carefully balance export, the Italian market, and wine tourism—staying flexible and ready to embrace new opportunities.“
Investing in the Future: Land and Sustainability
For us, looking ahead means taking care of the earth first. One of our most significant recent projects is the acquisition of 27 hectares of new land, which will gradually be converted into vineyards. This investment is about more than just numbers; it is about resilience. It allows us greater control over our supply chain and helps us better navigate the challenges of a changing climate.
At Montina, sustainability is defined by action:
New photovoltaic systems for cleaner energy
The trial of resilient vine clones to adapt to climate shifts
Agronomic management focused on preserving the biodiversity of the Monticelli Brusati landscape
Sport as a Universal Language
Our bond with the local community is reflected in our sporting partnerships. Following a decade as the Official Sparkling Wine of AC Milan, we continue to toast to the values of teamwork alongside Pallacanestro Brescia and US Cremonese. To us, sport mirrors life in the cellar: respect, shared goals, and passion are the same ingredients we pour into every bottle.
Global Horizons: Taking Franciacorta to Asia
While Italy remains our heart, the export market is our window to the world. With exports now accounting for 14% of our business, 2026 will see us take center stage in vibrant, emerging markets. We will be heading to Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Bali, while also looking toward Singapore and Malaysia—regions where the excellence of “Made in Italy” is in high demand.
Our goal for the future is simple:
to evolve without losing our soul. We remain dedicated to the artisanal craftsmanship that defines every Montina label, bringing the prestige of the Franciacorta name to every corner of the globe.
